ITEC annually seeks nominations for excellence in four categories: Educator, Administrator, Local and State Technology Leadership. Awards are presented at the ITEC conference in October. Vendors are not eligible. Nominees do not need to be current members of ITEC. Application guidelines for each award are:

Educator

An innovative educator who uses technology to improve instruction and student achievement. This teacher must work directly with students at least .5 FTE.

Administrator

A principal, superintendent, or other administrator who both uses technology and encourages its integration in his/her building or district.

Local Technology Leadership

A person who is involved in technology in a leadership role at a local level, but not necessarily at the state level.

State Technology Leadership

A person who is involved in educational technology in a leadership role at the state level. Nominees for this award should have significant involvement and influence beyond the local level.
