More detailed information about registration can be found on the Tech Fair Page

Date: May 5, 2017
Location: Ballroom and Great Hall at Iowa State University

All participants receive recognition ribbons. Some projects may receive Judges’ Purple Ribbon awards. The students of these projects are invited to showcase their projects at the ITEC Conference held in October.

Please be respectful of the number of students you register. If you have a large number of students wanting to participate, the ITEC Team is willing to assist you in designing and judging a pre-contest event in your building prior to the application deadline so winners at the building level can move on to the Central Iowa Tech fair. Some projects are created by large groups. Due to space limitations, please select no more than 3 students to represent a project.

All participants must follow copyright laws and guidelines. Eight-foot tables (up to three entries share one table) and electricity will be provided. Participants must bring their own hardware, software, power strips, accessories, and Internet connections will be available.

Registration fee is $10 for individual & team projects (up to 3 students).

Since this is a Student Technology Fair, display boards are no longer a requirement of the presentation process. All documentation, flow chart or storyboard, should be in the form of a portfolio printed and placed on the table next to the computer/project.

Space limitation: Due to space limitations and the quantity of judges required, the Central Student Technology Fair is limited to 200 student projects. Once the 200 limit is reached, a waiting list will be started for the overflow of projects. Sponsors will be notified if they are placed on the waiting list and also if space opens up.
