What is the Google Certified Coach Program?

“The Certified Coach program empowers instructional coaches to work 1:1 with educators and drive impactful technology use in their schools. What are the benefits of joining the ITEC Google Certified Coach Cohort?

    Includes Google Classroom facilitation, monthly cohort "meet-ups," webinars with mentors, the Google Certified Coach, and tech "gurus," and a special "meetup" at the ITEC Fall Conference.

  • Supportive mentorship from an ITEC Board member

    A care package will be sent prior to your participation and you'll work one-on-one with an ITEC Board member to help facilitate your progress in the program.

    Participants will receive a reduced registration rate for the ITEC Fall Conference and also receive special recognition at the conference.

  • Ongoing support after completion of the certification

    Become a member of the growing community of Google Certified Coaches in Iowa.

What is required of the ITEC Google Certified Coach Cohort?

Participants will be required to work through the Google Certified Coaching Curriculum, which will prepare participants for completion of the Coaching Skills Assessment and the creation of a coaching portfolio (which is part of the official certification application). Official submission of the Coaching Certification application will not be part of the cohort work.

Required Prerequisites: Before submitting applications for certification, participants will also need to obtain Google Education Level 1 and Level 2 certification. Obtaining these certifications will be outside the work of this cohort.

Dates and Attendance: If selected, participants will be expected to attend the monthly synchronous meetings. These meetings are held on Sunday evenings from approximately 8 to 9 p.m. Dates for the monthly meetings will announced closer to the program start date.

Cost: The cost of participation is $199. Participants wanting to earn two licensure renewal credits will have an opportunity to indicate this interest if selected. The addition of licensure renewal credits includes an additional fee of $70.
