Elections
ITEC Board elections are held annually. All ITEC members are encouraged to vote. Board members serve three-year terms.
The next Board elections will be held in December 2023. Four Board member positions will be up for reelection at that time and will start their new 3 year term in January 2024.

ARTICLE V – BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Board of Directors shall be composed of twelve (12) elected members of ITEC. All positions will be elected as At-Large officers. All officers must be active in PK-20 education or a nonprofit educational organization.
- The officers of ITEC shall be President, President-Elect, and Secretary.
- The regular term of office for director shall be three (3) years. Four (4) such positions shall be filled by election each year.
- Terms of office for each ITEC officer and director shall begin and end with the close of the appropriate membership year.
- Any officer or director absent from three (3) out of five (5) consecutive meetings of the Board of Directors may be removed by a vote of not less than seven (7) members of the Board of Directors.
- When a vacancy occurs in a director position, the Board of Directors may appoint an ITEC member to serve in such a position until the next general election for the remainder of that seat’s term.

Four ITEC Board positions will be up for election for the December 2022 vote.
Roles and responsibilities of ITEC Board members include:
- Helping plan, coordinate and promote the annual conferences
- Helping plan, coordinate and promote learning events
- Connecting and collaborating with Iowa educators
- Bringing innovative ideas
- Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours a month (may increase around events)
We encourage all interested parties to submit an application for ITEC Board Candidacy, answering the following prompts:
- Please tell us about yourself: your background in education, how you became involved in the area of technology and your current job responsibilities.
- Why are you interested in running for the ITEC Board?
- What role do you see ITEC playing in the next five years in regards to education? (Organizational structure, services provided, membership, annual conferences, etc.)
